Residents of long-term care (and their familes) in Jefferson County can now take advantage of monthly video presentations by an Ombudsman from the United Way Area Agency on Aging.
These presentations, which are interactive and hosted by a live Ombudsman, are designed to familiarize new and current residents alike with their rights in long-term care — and their facilities’ obligation to honor those rights.
The Ombudsman serves as the residents’ confidential sounding board and advocate concerning their personal care and treatment. Each presentation will review the many ways an Ombudsman can assist those in long-term care and work to improve their quality of life.
Video presentations, including questions and answers, take place on the third Thursday of every month at 12:30 p.m.
